Products not meeting this class must be protected by a thermal shield (e.g. EPS insulation covered by rockwool insulation).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regardless of the solutions used, the systems must be validated by a laboratory assessment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For dwellings where the highest floor is no more than 50 metres away.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First family: exterior cladding at least class D-s3,d0 or E if home is insulated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Second family: exterior cladding at least class D-s3,d0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Third family, two solutions:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All products are at least class A2-s3,d0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The system has been validated by an APL irrespective of its fire rating.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fourth family: two solutions identical to renovation (see paragraph above).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><sup>CAREA\u00ae<\/sup> products and fire regulations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"solutions-carea\">No need to choose between fire safety and aesthetics!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For both construction and renovation, our <a href=\"https:\/\/carea-facade.com\/en\/technical\/carea-cladding-types\/#rainures\">grooved<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/carea-facade.com\/en\/technical\/carea-cladding-types\/\">interlocking<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/carea-facade.com\/en\/technical\/carea-cladding-types\/#inserts\">anchor<\/a> product ranges are A2-s1,d0 certified: our material is non-flammable and does not propagate fire.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For frameless applications, the interlocking and grooved ranges are laboratory-tested for<sup>3rd<\/sup> family residential buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For use with framing, the grooved range has been laboratory-tested to validate solutions without or with invisible lip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our solutions can be applied to all types of building, both new construction and renovation (IGH, IMH,<sup>3rd<\/sup> family dwellings, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/carea-facade.com\/en\/contact\/\">Contact us to find out more<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><sup>CAREA\u00ae<\/sup> Grooved cladding: no longer visible flap<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the publication of a laboratory assessment (APL n\u00b0EFR-16-002964 &#8211; Revision 2), <a href=\"https:\/\/carea-facade.com\/en\/technical\/carea-cladding-types\/\">CAREA grooved cladding<\/a> in horizontal and vertical installation, used with Rockwool rockwool insulation, can <strong>be installed with an invisible overlap flap<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This APL is designed to :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><sup>1st<\/sup> group ERP from R+2,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><sup>3rd<\/sup> family residential buildings,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IMH.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following construction system is required:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Concrete or rendered masonry substrate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vertical steel frame; EPDM strips are required at each intersection between the steel frame and the horizontal aluminum rail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For ERP buildings where the C+D rule is not applicable, as well as for residential buildings, the air gap overlap can be managed in one of the following ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Steel frame; in this case, <strong>no air gap overlap<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bay frame with slab return + invisible steel flap or Hilti-type intumescent strip.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For ERP buildings where the C+D rule applies, the air gap must be overlapped, whatever the type of opening frame.
