BIM is, first and foremost, a working method applied to the creation of 3D parametric digital models containing structured data. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">The aim of BIM is to optimize the sharing of information throughout the lifecycle of a building or infrastructure, from design to deconstruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><strong>Digital mock-up<\/strong> is a tool for digitally representing the physical and functional characteristics of a building or infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">In the course of a collaborative project, the players work individually to develop their respective models, which, once brought together, make up the digital model of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><em>5-minute BIM video presented by <a href=\"https:\/\/buildingsmartfrance-mediaconstruct.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">buildingSMART France<\/a>:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-prise-en-charge-des-contenus-embarqu-s wp-block-embed-prise-en-charge-des-contenus-embarqu-s\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"openBIM expliqu\u00e9 en moins de 5 min en fran\u00e7ais\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/t3ECK4U0QeI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
