Our Participation in Circular Economy Day

This morning in Carquefou, we had the pleasure of participating in the roundtable discussion “Requalification: The Key to Scaling Up ” as part of Circular Economy Day organized by Novabuild, alongside DREAL (Regional Directorate for the Environment, Planning, and Housing),ADEME, the Pays de la Loire Region, andICAM —Catholic Institute of Arts and Crafts.
The morning session was opened by Jean Michel BUF, while Elisabeth Gelot (SKOV Avocats) served as a featured speaker, providing valuable insight into the legal and insurance issues surrounding reuse.
At CAREA®, Emma Mongkhoun and Bruno Maguery shared our insights on a crucial topic: the refurbishment of facade cladding for reuse.
At CAREA®, we are convinced that reuse can only scale up if construction industry stakeholders have a robust technical and insurance framework in place.
That is the very purpose of our approach: to develop a comprehensive protocol for inspecting, reclassifying, and overseeing operations to ensure the performance of reused products and their insurability.

🚀 A major breakthrough is now supporting this initiative: the first Type A ATEx dedicated to reuse, validating an approach that allows reused products to be incorporated into a framework compatible with the requirements of the ten-year warranty.

Reuse is not limited to an environmental goal. It also involves:
✅ A supply chain to be collectively structured
✅ Clearly defined responsibilities among stakeholders
✅ Reliable inspection and recertification methods
✅ Concrete solutions to decarbonize the construction sector while maintaining the trust of Contractors
Thank you to the organizers and all the speakers for the high-quality discussions. Scaling up reuse will be achieved through cooperation, innovation, and trust.
