Much more than just a manufacturer of façade materials, CAREA® is committed to sustainability and eco-responsibility. We are proud to present our product re-use initiative, specially designed to meet the needs of architects and Contractors who wish to reduce their environmental footprint while maintaining high quality standards.
The benefits of CAREA® re-use
1. Reusable
At CAREA, we are currently developing an innovative process that enables us to recover and fully reuse our products once they have reached the end of their life on a building site. This means that your CAREA panels are not intended to be thrown away after use, but can be refurbished for a second life, on the same site or on another building. This applies to all our ranges of grooved cladding (Ardal, Acantha, Armada) and cladding with anchors (Artema).
2. Deconstruction / Dismantling
Our expert team provides top-to-bottom dismantling support. We work closely with your on-site teams to train them in the techniques of careful disassembly, handling and re-packaging on easels, ensuring a smooth process.
CAREA® product take-back procedure:
- All products undergo rigorous testing in accordance with regulations, ensuring that they always meet performance, safety and durability requirements, just as they did at the outset.
- Depending on test results, products are either re-used (on the same building or on other sites) or recycled back into our production cycle.
This procedure is currently being assessed as part of an ATEx for reused products.
We also offer a complete service for packaging, palletizing, wrapping and protection. We take care of removing the products from the site and returning them to our factory, and the cost of this service is assessed on a case-by-case basis, according to your specific needs.
3. Product re-use
The ATEx currently being assessed calls for product requalification, including laboratory testing and thorough cleaning of cladding.
Once successfully requalified, recovered CAREA® products can be reused. Eventually, they will also be covered by a ten-year warranty, providing peace of mind for future projects. Please note: this re-use process can only be envisaged if CAREA® assists at least in the careful removal of all the Cladding to be subjected to theCAREA® requalification process. The associated costs will depend on the size of the project.
Free storage
We also offer a free storage service for your recovered products for the first three months, until they can be reused on another site. From the fourth month onwards, fees will apply. Please consult us for details.
4. Recycling
For any remaining cladding that cannot be reused, CAREA follows its usual recycling procedure, guaranteeing an environmentally-friendly approach and a reduction in construction waste.
